ReStore
Habitat for Humanity ReStores are independently owned “home and hardware” thrift stores operated by local Habitat for Humanity organizations. The first ReStore was opened in 1991 in Canada by the Habitat affiliate in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Now, over 900 ReStores operate across the U.S. and Canada. Ohio alone boasts 40 Restores!

Habitat for Humanity of Southeast Ohio (HFHSEO) opened its first ReStore in July of 2011 in Athens, Ohio. As HFHSEO expanded its service area, a second location was opened in Zanesville in 2015, and in 2020 we added the Lancaster ReStore. Together, the three ReStores have aided HFHSEO in accomplishing its mission to provide decent, affordable housing to the Southeast Ohio region.
