Acceptable Items for Donation

All items must be in good, sellable condition. The ReStore reserves the right to refuse any unsafe, broken, unclean, or clearly not useable item.

If you have a question about a possible donation, please contact us at: (740) 654-3434 or email restorel@habitatseo.org and attach a digital photo of the item(s) if possible.

Donations may be dropped off at the ReStore during business hours only.

For a FREE pick-up of donated items, please call the ReStore as early as possible to route the trucks efficiently.

 

We Accept

  • Appliances

    Must be in working condition.
    Includes small appliances.

  • Architectural items
  • Cabinets and Counter Tops

    Both kitchen and bathroom cabinets in sets or individual pieces. Must have no structural or water damage. All must be complete containing all doors and drawers.

  • Doors

    Doors must be in good condition, with no rotted wood or broken glass.

  • Electrical

    Residential electric items only.

  • Flooring

    Carpet remnants and area rugs must be in excellent condition with no visible wear, tear, stains or animal smells.
    No carpet padding accepted.
    Hardwood flooring must have no splitting or cracking.
    Vinyl and ceramic tile must be unused, and in excellent condition.

  • Furniture

    We do not accept box springs or mattresses.

  • Hardware

    Complete sets of door hardware, hinges, etc. Any quantity of nails, screws, fasteners, hangers, connectors, etc. Rusty hardware is not accepted.

  • Lighting

    All mounting hardware must be included.
    Ceiling fans must be new in a box.

  • Lumber

    All lumber and trim must be free of ALL nails and screws
    All lumber must be a minimum of 4 feet in length, with no warping
    Sheet goods (particle board, paneling, plywood) must be at least a quarter (1/4) sheet with no damage
    Trim and molding must be a minimum of 4 feet in length.

  • Miscellaneous

    Free standing wood stoves
    Window AC units
    Hand and power tools (in good working condition)
    Pallets of brick or glass block
    Stone pavers
    Books (How-to, DIY, or skilled trades only)
    Cordless Mini-blinds and window shades (new in a box)

  • Paint

    Original can, the lid must be free of dried paint and rust, and no more than 4 years old.
    Partial cans are accepted.

We do not accept

  • Baby Furniture or baby-related items
  • Board games
  • Box spings and mattresses
  • Canned and track lights
  • clothing and shoes
  • Commercial Items

    Please contact the ReStore for all questions regarding commercial items.

  • Computers and monitors
  • Drapes or curtains
  • Exercise equipment
  • Fluorescent lights
  • Linens(Bed or table)
  • Luggage
