The Home Repair & Care Training Center is committed to empowering our community and helping people gain the knowledge and confidence to maintain their homes independently. Our hands-on, interactive Training Center allows you to experience elements of a home and practice working with various tools. You'll learn about the systems of your home, gain the knowledge to make small repairs, and you will walk away with a new appreciation of homeownership!

Classes will be held on Tuesdays at 6pm, will be approximately 90 minutes long, and FREE for the first half of 2026!

Hands-on workshops will meet on Tuesdays (and some Thursdays). Workshops will have a cost to participate, ranging from $20-$100 to cover the cost of materials.
If you are registering a minor under 18 years old, you must call the Training Center to inquire about the workshop. Woodshop workshops are only open to those 18 years or older. All minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, and both must register for the workshop.
Build a Bookcase
*This is a two-day workshop - 6pm-8pm: March 31 and April 2
This workshop is an opportunity to put new skills to good use! We will guide you in using various tools as you cut various pieces to size and assemble your own bookcase. And, you can keep your bookcase or donate it to sell at the ReStore. The fee for this workshop covers the cost of supplies for a single bookcase. For additional practice, take our free "Intro to Power Tools" class on March 24th!
