The Home Repair & Care Training Center is committed to empowering our community and helping people gain the knowledge and confidence to maintain their homes independently. Our hands-on, interactive Training Center allows you to experience elements of a home and practice working with various tools. You'll learn about the systems of your home, gain the knowledge to make small repairs, and you will walk away with a new appreciation of homeownership!

Classes will be held on Tuesdays at 6pm, will be approximately 90 minutes long, and FREE for the first half of 2026!

Hands-on workshops will meet on Tuesdays (and some Thursdays). Workshops will have a cost to participate, ranging from $20-$100 to cover the cost of materials.
If you are registering a minor under 18 years old, you must call the Training Center to inquire about the workshop. Woodshop workshops are only open to those 18 years or older. All minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, and both must register for the workshop.
Drywall Repair
*This is a two-part event happening at 6pm on Tuesday and Thursday.
Nearly everyone has had some experience with patching nail holes in drywall. Some folks have even repaired larger holes, and many of those people have stories to tell! Drywall repair is not as intuitive as people think. Learn the fast, professional way to repair drywall and marvel at your ability when you are done! From banging a hole through a wall to a smooth second coat, this hands-on workshop will set you up for success (and less sanding in the future!).
